MY TAKE ON THE CAPITAL OF SAVANNAH REGION - By Mohammed L.A Jarah

MY TAKE ON THE CAPITAL OF SAVANNAH REGION

I have watched keenly with enthusiasm the various debates and arguments being put forth by various writers across the enclaves of  the newly created SAVANNAH REGION regarding the specific town which merits the status of the regional capital.
Interesting as it sounds, the various writers have staged well crafted arguments with the main focus being on whether Salaga or Damongo merits the capital.

*Coming from the Salaga enclave, it will interest me if decision makers finally select Salaga as the regional capital given the numerous socio economic and geographical features the area boast of*. However I urge the good people of Gonjaland to seize fire and trust the very committee which represented the area during the presentation of petitions to the government to make a choice which comes in the interest of the good people of Gonjaland.

I believe it was in the interest of the land that the cry for the region echoed through generations till date. We should therefore not let the matter of an administrative capital undermine the fight for Development that we have already started. The spirit of Kejakpanana shall always be victorious.

Long live Savannah Region
Long live Gonjaland
Long live GHANA
