Alvaro Morata proves he has not cut short honeymoon to force Manchester United transfer

The Real Madrid striker was believed to have cut his holiday with his new wife short and flown back to Spain.

Morata was reported to be eager to push through a switch to Old Trafford and felt his presence at Real would act as an incentive to get the deal over the line.

But, the newly-married 24-year-old posted on Instagram on Thursday fresh pictures of him on his honeymoon.

His wife, Alice Campebllo, too posted snaps of their honeymoon as reports Morata was back in Madrid were firmly quashed.

Jose Mourinho is eager to add a quality No.9 to his squad and has identified Morata as the perfect man to become the main striker at Old Trafford.

Real boss, Florentino Perez, has insisted that they have received zero offers for Morata.

‘We haven’t received offers for anyone this summer,’ he told radio station Onda Cer .

‘No one has offered us anything – not for Cristiano, not Morata.’

Real are thought to be open to selling Morata, but were informed by manager Zinedine Zidane that he does not want the striker to be sold.

Reports claim Zidane’s order has prompted a change in tactics from Real as they hiked up Morata’s asking price to almost £80million.

United have already seen one bid for the frontman rejected and have been rocked by Real’s sudden increase of the transfer fee.

Morata struggled to cement his place in the Real’s starting eleven last season, but still managed to score 15 goals in 26 La Liga appearances.
