Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger: I’d coach basketball if I wasn’t a football manager .
While it only took one week of Premier League action for the #WengerOut trend to return to Twitter can we really imagine a world where Arsene Wenger wasn’t Arsenal manager? Of course there’s a few fans that have been calling for the Frenchman’s P45 to be handed over for some time now, but we mean consider a scenario where Wenger never became Arsenal boss, because he didn’t get into football. What would he do? Well according to the man himself Wenger would work in another team sport – basketball. A selection of Premier League managers were asked which competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics they would like to work in had they never entered the realm of the beautiful game. And Wenger responded, when asked by the official Premier League Twitter account , that he could see himself coaching a basketball team due to its team spirit. The Arsenal manager said: “It would certainly be a team sport. “Maybe a basketball team because that’s the second sport I know better.”
